Walkers
On a beautiful, warm, sunny autumnal day, seven members of the Walking Group, led by David set off from the Shady Oak at Tiverton for our walk.
On the way around our 6 mile perambulation because of the good visibility, we had lovely views of Beeston and Peckforton castles, Helsby Hill, the Shell Oil Refinery, Clwydian Range and of course, Padeswood cement works. We went through fields of cattle, horses, sheep and at one stage a very friendly pig came running over during the photo shoot whilst we were sitting on a conveniently placed bench. It was obviously his scratching post. Barbara tried to do a reverse summersault off a plank, but got 0/10 for presentation and landing. Another member decided to get covered in mud and a third tested the electrified fence.
When we arrived safely back at the Shady Oak, we all enjoyed a very good meal.
