At the heart of Cestrian U3A are our self-help INTEREST and ACTIVITY GROUPS - these
are arranged by members themselves and are apt to change in response to current interests,
some being best served by single events or short courses while others develop into
regular meetings over long periods.
Occasionally special arrangements are made with outside bodies to meet specific requests
- for example, help with computing at the University of Chester Learning & Enterprise
Centre - but in general we rely on our own resources and members are encouraged to
attend U3A regional and national events to pursue their interests further.
To find out more, please click on the appropriate buttons on the left hand side of
this page. If you don’t find what you are looking for, please check the MORE section
- which is where members can register new interests and hopefully attract like-minded
folk. Groups need not be large to be viable - it is the level of commitment that
matters. A small charge is sometimes made by groups to cover the cost of room-hire
etc.
